Cao Bang is one of the northern mountainous provinces of our country. It borders Guangxi province (China) in the north and northeast along 311 km, Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang provinces in the west, Bac Can and Lang Son in the south. It is measured 80 km north-south, between 23007’12” to 22021’21” latitudes north (from Trong Con commune, Thach An district to Duc Hanh commune, Bao Lam district) and 170 km east-west between 105016’15” to 106050’25” longitudes east (from Quang Lam commune, Bao Lam district to Ly Quoc commune, Ha Lang district).
